Your Path — A time to Refocus and Refresh

As you begin this new week, may you have clear focus on the path God has marked out for you …

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,  fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV)

May you linger long enough  to  see as through the eyes of a child the simple wonder and  beauty along the way …

May you soak in the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit illuminate your path

Thy Word is a (1)

May you know that the LORD  is your Shepherd and Guide along the way and He is truly all you will ever need …

May you find rest in soft, green meadows …restoring life to the drought  your soul may feel …

And when you feel overwhelmed, may you be surprised by that dirt path that seems to appear out of nowhere to lead  you by  peaceful streams …renewing your strength and refreshing your soul.

May you be like a tree planted by rivers of water …gaining needed nutrients in the stillness of winter …bringing forth lasting fruit in your season …not withering …but prospering in all you do.

20160213_161151.jpgAnd when you’re wondering– with large question marks –over which path is the RIGHT ONE for YOU, may you be like the sheep who hears only the voice of his Shepherd  saying, “This is the way, walk in it.”  And may you follow that Voice above all other voices …keeping your eyes fixed on JESUS so as not to be swayed or veer off the path He has marked out for you  by the lure and lie of the grass-is-greener {easier/safer/more exciting/more successful/better paying}.

May you know that even in the darkest valley, you are NEVER ALONE…

Even in the unending shadows of death’s darkness,
I am not overcome by fear.
Because You are with me in those dark moments,
near with Your protection and guidance,
    I am comforted.

Psalm 23 (Voice)

May you CELEBRATE and enjoy the feast He’s prepared for you and know you’ve been anointed  with oil … overflowing with blessings.

And most importantly, may you know without a doubt that YOU ARE LOVED … our Heavenly Father is actually chasing you with His goodness and unfailing love…not wanting you to ever, ever miss it or be without it.  Know this!  Be convinced of this!  It is life to your soul!

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)

As an organic follower of Jesus Christ — I want to thank you for joining me on this recent organic “Sabbath” walk as I continue to Embrace Lent and take Baby Steps in the right direction.  The Holy Spirit seems to speak volumes along the way and I end up sharing that with you.  Thank you for listening!  You encourage me so much!

Most of the photos shared on this post were from my recent Sabbath walk on the Indian Creek Greenway in Madison, Alabama with others from Alabama, New Hampshire and Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico.

Special thanks to my little buddy, Joseph Todd, for being the perfect model for lingering and looking along the path at Hays Nature Preserve (Huntsville, AL)  and for my husband and grands, Charlotte and Luke Burr, for loving to walk together … hand in hand down that Swanzey, New Hampshire road.  My cup overflows!
